The NASCAR Experience

Here, Nancy shares some of her favourite NASCAR memories.

I'm signing Speed Dating at the NASCAR hauler in Daytona. Thanks to everyone who came by and purchased a signed copy of the book. Speed Dating is an offical NASCAR product and bears the coveted NASCAR logo.

You totally feel like a somebody being whisked around the track on a golf cart. Here I am, holding up the Daytona paper with Speed Dating pictured on the front page. Behind me are Marsha Zinberg, my editor on the project, and Melissa Gawalko of Harlequin Marketing.

Angie is married to NASCAR driver Mike Skinner and shared some great information with me about her life, which you will see in Turn Two, coming out in November. Angie's written a NASCAR cookbook that has some great recipes. Yum.

I talked briefly and signed books at a NASCAR members' breakfast.

Here are Melissa Gawalko, Michelle Renaud and Marsha Zinberg at the Daytona track the day of the Busch race. We're on a pier overlooking Lake Lloyd, which is located inside the track grounds.

Finally, it's race day! Marsha Zinberg, me and 168,000 fans get ready to watch the Daytona 500!

NASCAR driver Carl Edwards was a great source of research for my hero in Speed Dating (Feb 2007). Cute too, which every hero should be if he can possibly manage it.
